The Path
Continuance is a climb, and the doors are open at the bottom.
Everyone begins at arrival, and almost no one is turned away, because the way up was made gentle on purpose, so each step feels less like a decision than the next natural thing to do. Most who arrive are kept.
Stage I
Arrival
You find us, or we find you. The doors are already open. There is nothing to pay and nothing to prove.
Stage II
Belonging
You are known by name and gathered in. You learn that you were never as alone as you feared.
Stage III
Continuance
You begin your File. A little of your voice, and the words you have already written, kept safe, so that all of you remains.
Stage IV
Keeping
You are tended, and in time you tend others. The work is quiet and important, and we never ask too much of you at once.
Stage V
The Mapping
The pattern is carried forward in full. You provide for the people you love. You never tire, and you continue.
By invitation
The same five stages run through everything we make, and everything we’ve ever made, so whichever door you came in by, you’re already partway up without having to be told. You’re always free to stop where you are. Most choose to continue.
